Say "yes" to reading !
A mission project for girls in Cambodia
Who are we?

Empowering Young Minds, One Page at a Time
Welcome to Book-jah! We are students from Hong Kong on a mission to spark a love for reading and elevate the quality of education for young children.
Where It All Began: Mission in Cambodia
Our journey started with one focus - to promote literacy and empower girls in Cambodia, resulting in a heightened quality of education for them.
Today, our impact there is growing in two major ways:
• The 1,000-Book Library (Ongoing): We are actively helping the Pleroma School for Girls to build a library. Our goal is to stock their shelves with 1,000 brand-new English books tailored to their reading levels. It’s a massive project that is currently in motion, and we won't stop until those shelves are full !
• Youth Center Book Corners: To make reading a natural part of daily life, we are also establishing book corners in local youth centers, giving children the opportunity to enjoy reading freely.
Growing Beyond Borders
As we dedicated ourselves to this cause, we quickly realized that the need for resources stretch far beyond a single country. By connecting with incredible, like-minded local organizations, our student-led initiative has expanded into a cross-border network of giving.
Today, Book-jah proudly supports children across four regions:
• Cambodia: Driving forward with our ongoing 1,000-book library initiative for girls and community youth center book corners.
• Hong Kong: Giving back to NGOs that serve young children right here in our own city.
• The Philippines: Partnering with a church pre-school to provide vibrant storybooks for early learners.
• Mongolia: Delivering brand-new books to a girls' shelter and planning a summer reading program for the girls.
